Direction reconstructions with time triangulation

Results

&bull Flipped means that all reconstructions that are thought to be on the wrong side of the IFO plane are flipped to the other side of the IFO plane.
&bull Flip Cut results are similar except they cut all reconstructions that have been placed on the IFO plane.
&bull 2-delays signifies that we only use the delay between Hanford and Livingston and Hanford and Virgo to triangulate.
&bull 3-delays signifies that we also used the Livingston Virgo delay to triangulate. See new timing estimate
&bull Filtered signifies that we have used a trigger list from the Coherent WaveBurst Group event files to filter our results
&bull High Freq or Low Freq denotes that we have seperated a specific frequency from the total results see table of frequencies below

Triangulation Error Plots

You might notice that there are strange regions in the WNB scatter plots that show a high amount of angular error for a high snr. We've looked at some of these events and they seem to all be high amplitude. Here are some plots of one injection set for one of the odd events. You will notice that Virgo has a much larger amplitude than either of the other ifo's. Wewill continue to investigate and look for patterns. CWB reconstructed these injections well, but we did not.

Percentage of events reconstructed within their Error Box

The size of the error box is determined individually based upon each event's Cross Correlation function. It is found by determining what amount of time you must integrate over to achieve a specified area under the curve of the Cross Correlation (starting from the peak) and then translating these error times into error angles. The percentage is found by processing all the events and determining what percentage lie within their error box.
